Douglas Fir Tables

Douglas fir wood is in the pine family of woods. It has a straight and pronounced grain as well as a reddish brown tint that typically does not have as many knots as its next of kin, white and yellow pine. Douglas fir does not usually take stain very well, so it is best to finish it with our natural tung oil process or by a painted finish. Douglas fir wood is moderately strong and hard for a softwood.
